Welcome to our Policies page, where we outline important guidelines to ensure a smooth and successful catering experience. Here, you'll find information regarding our delivery, cancellation, and payment policies, among others, to help you understand our procedures better.
The first step in placing a catering order is contacting us! One of our associates will give you a call to finalize your order.
We require at least 48 hours notice on all orders. Last-minute orders will be accommodated when and if possible. however, not all menu items are available without proper notice.
For small (<100 people) catering orders, we recommend contacting us at least three to four days in advance.
For medium (100-199 people) catering orders, we recommend contacting us at least two to four weeks in advance.
For large (200+ people) catering orders, we recommend contacting us at least six to eight weeks in advance.
A payment is required when a definite order is placed. Orders will always get an email confirmation back within one business day.
A deposit of $400 or 30% of the order (whichever is greater) is required to confirm and hold the date of your event. The deposit is due at the time of placing the order. The deposit is applied as a credit towards your final bill, and you will receive an updated quote reflecting your deposit.
Advance orders may be postponed at no expense with a minimum of 48 hours notice.
All cancellations must be made with a minimum of 48 hours advance notice.
Last-minute cancellations (<48 hours in advance) will still be billable at the full quote price unless cancellation is due to an environmental emergency.
Deposit refunds on cancellations are handled as follows:
Notice 30 days or more prior to your event - 50% of the deposit
Notice less than 30 days prior to your event - No refund of the deposit
Placing a catering order is a binding agreement that can only be changed or canceled with the proper notice. All orders without proper cancellation notice are billable.
All orders that are delivered but do not have a designated contact person to receive the order and sign for it on the day and time the order was instructed to be are billable. Orders that are placed for pick up and never picked up are billable.
As seen on our Menus and Catering & Pricing Options, some menu items and catering packages are subject to a minimum number of people. For less than the minimum, we still accept and produce those orders. However, they are subject to a per-person surcharge.
An approximate guest count is requested at the time the event is booked. A final guest count is required one week prior to the event.
Some catering orders require the use of equipment that is the property of Taste The Levant Catering and is not disposable. Clients are responsible for keeping the equipment safe and arranging for a pick-up of this equipment. A fee may be incurred if the equipment is lost or misplaced.
All chafers required to heat our hot food buffets will have to be purchased. A $10.00 charge will include one chafer, two sternos, and one water pan. If you already have your own equipment, please let us know and we can accurately let you know how many you will need for your set-up.
Clean-up service is only provided for items we provide to service your event. Clearing dinnerware from guest tables is included when premium service packages are purchased.
The standard delivery charge is 15% of the total with a minimum delivery charge is $15.00. Additional delivery expenses may be incurred for long-distance orders.
Additional delivery expenses may be incurred for orders placed for delivery between midnight and 5:30AM. If the order is on Sunday, the same charge would be in effect from midnight to 10:30AM.
We always strive to deliver your order promptly at the designated time. Please note that there may be a slight variation of 5 to 15 minutes earlier or later than the exact designated time. Additionally, at certain properties, our catering drivers may require an escort upon arrival. It is the client's responsibility to designate and ensure the timely meeting of our driver at the entrance.
New York sales tax is included in the initial quote. Venue fees and/or surcharges are extra and will be reflected on the final invoice.

Gratuity is not included in our pricing and is entirely at the discretion of the client. While not mandatory, gratuities for exceptional service are greatly appreciated by our hardworking staff.
Should you wish to express appreciation for outstanding service, gratuity can be given directly to the service staff or included with your final payment.
A 10% - 15% tip on the total bill is customary.
Taste the Levant Catering makes every attempt to identify ingredients that may cause reactions in people with food allergies. We make every effort to instruct our food production staff on the severity of food allergies. Consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish, dairy or eggs may increase your risk of food-borne illness.
Menu items may contain or come into contact with wheat/gluten, milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, shellfish, and soy. We clearly label any known food allergens on all our foods.
Taste The Levant Catering strives to provide excellent service and uphold the highest standards of professionalism. While we take every precaution to ensure our clients' and their guests' safety and satisfaction and and adhere to strict food safety standards and regulations. We also assume no liability for damages, accidents, or injuries that may occur during the event. Clients are responsible for their guests' conduct, as well as the safety and security of the event venue. We recommend obtaining appropriate event insurance to mitigate potential risks and liabilities. We must clarify that Taste the Levant Catering assumes no liability for any food-related issues, including but not limited to allergies, foodborne illnesses, or dietary restrictions. While we make every effort to accommodate special dietary needs and communicate allergen information accurately, clients and their guests are responsible for their food choices and any associated risks. We advise clients to communicate dietary concerns clearly and take necessary precautions to ensure their guests' well-being.
